Belinfante Quartet

The Belinfante Quartet is known for their personal style and surprising repertoire choices. They combine classical masterpieces with music by lesser-known composers and their own arrangements of folk music.

The quartet likes to collaborate. In 2020, for example, they worked with urban dance group Static and Who’s Next on workshops and performances at secondary schools in Almere. In 2021, they paired Haydn’s ‘Sieben Letzten Worte’ with impressive visuals by Jordi Cardenas. With their name, the quartet honors Frieda Belinfante, cellist and the first female conductor in Europe, who is a great source of inspiration.
